About High Tide Automation
With over 25 years of hands-on experience in process control, instrumentation, and automation, I founded High Tide Automation to bring big-industry expertise to clients who deserve more than a one-size-fits-all solution. My career has taken me from large-scale petrochemical facilities and ammonia plants to cutting-edge fuel cell research labs, giving me a rare breadth of experience across nearly every corner of the industrial automation world.
I've spent over two decades programming and maintaining systems from Allen-Bradley and Honeywell Experion to Emerson DeltaV and ABB 800xA, designing PCBs from scratch, building SCADA systems, and leading teams through complex control system migrations. I've worked as an individual contributor, a supervisor, and even a university instructor. Through all of it, one thing became clear: the best solutions come from someone who genuinely understands your process, not just the software.
So why start my own company? After years of working inside large organizations, I wanted the freedom to do the work the right way, with the attention, craftsmanship, and personal accountability that only a smaller, owner-operated firm can offer. When you work with High Tide Automation, you are not handed off to a junior engineer. You get me.
Outside of work, I am a husband of 22 years to my wonderful wife, the father of 8 incredible kids, and a proud grandfather. That kind of responsibility has a way of sharpening your priorities. You learn to do things right the first time, stand behind your work, and show up when it matters. I bring that same standard to every project I take on.
